And i'm defionatly geting an electric water pump too!
the over flow tank is about between 2-3 lb saving i would guess. i just bought this one and used my stock hose.

If you have a stock computer it turns off the fans no matter the engine temp abouve a certain vehicle speed. Maybe you should tune it to turn off at a higher speed and you wouldn't see that problem? 65 mph i think is the factory cutoff.

Think Lexan is illegal for a street car though. Let me know if that is not true plz.

Thank you! Good post.

I love my car too much to do that to it

My raceweight is between 3250 and 3300 lbs, I can only imagine how much faster I would be with a 2900lbs car...

Havent weighed mine but it should be close to the 3000 mark, here is some pics. I tried to keep it to where the avarage person looking at the car would not know what was missing at a glance.

Front bumper delete, aircondition coil, windshield wiper bottle and misc plastic.

Light weight battery

No power steering, no air, no heat, no cruise, no egr,

No padding under stock carpet and removed all sound deadner, trimed back seam filler, no radio and speakers, no air bags, grant steering wheel, nothing under dash, no back seats or belts, all brackets for back seats etc cut out, no sun visors,

Also not shown is back bumper delete, all supporting wiring for radio and air conditioner, no power antenae, no emmisions air pump, no spare or jack, cut out bump stops, no cats, no fog lights, cut out T-top holders, and lots of little things here and there.

Car as it sits.

Thanks for the comments guys. Most people I talk to are very supprised when they see the car, all they ever here about is me talking about all the crap I am cutting out and expect to see a gutted out race car.

I was at a car get together the other day, a mix of old and new steel when some guys kid was like why does he have the hood up on this car it is stock. The dad was like no sir not by a long shot you just don't know what you are looking at. That was a confirmation for me of a job well done.

Man that's some serious weight loss. I've taken alot out of my car but haven't resorted to any cutting or anything like that. Give you credit on the effort though-you're getting it done.
