ET streets should hold what you are putting out. (Based on your mph) I don't think it is an issue of over powering the tires, as much as an issue of suspension setup.
When I had a 6 speed, I would drop the clutch at 6000 rpm and run 1.6 60 foot times NA.
What clutch are you suing? How bad does it slip when you launch?
Any suspension components to help the car launch?
