Default Jig Notched?

just got my cage in and its supposed to be jig notched. what exactly does that mean. it doesnt look any differenct than the ones i see on the web. i still have to make the plates work that were sent with it, i mean it looks as though it not just an easy weld in thing. i mean i know im ignorant for thinking it was going to be simple but i figured with paying extra for jig notching that i would have recieved more than just flat plates. if it was mocked up in a car....? i dunno what i was thinking it was going to be but i def. wouldnt want to see one that isnt jigged. (just my rant, if in wrong spot feel free to move)

the ends of the tubing that mate up to the other tubing, what does it look like. If it is squared off then it is not jigged notched. if it has a cresent to the end then it is jigged notched. those ends will only be the ends that fit to the side of the tubing

hope that helps.

Jig notching meands they mocked up all the bars. You should see scribe lines to use for where the bars should go in your car. Jig notching just makes it easier so that you do not have to have a tubing notcher to install your cage. The flat plates thing is not that big a deal. I only know of 2 plates that need a bend in them when you install the cage. As long as you know how to weld, installing the cage is not that bad, just take your time and do it right.

The only plates that you have to bend are the ones that mount to the floor where the main hoop welds on. Everywhere else uses flat plates. If you go to wolfe's website, they have install photos that would show you what you need to do.

You can also make your cage/chassis a bunch stronger by bending the plates for the rear bars to fit around the rear seat area next to the shock mounts.

Jig notched means that one end of the pipe will be notched to fit over the other pipe. The other end depends on the person, where they want the pipe to run into the floor at,what kind of seat you have ,how tall/short you are and other stuff. Thats why it just doesn't fit in and weld. They leave one end long and squared off so you can fit the pipe to your personal needs/likings.
