You can get the paint to stick pretty damn good if you pit it first, I use Easy Off Oven Cleaner. Spray it on, let it sit for a few minutes, clean it and repeat as necessary until surface has fine "pits" in it. Prime, paint and wet sand. Although PC would be much more durable.
How much difference is there in manual window regulator to power window? I cant see "saving" the 8-12 lbs on a Camaro, and still having heavy glass and p/w. Go manual with SpeedGlass and that would turn out so nice wt savings.

Last I knew the man windows where acouple of pounds heavier. I really want to do SpeedGlass for the doors but unfortunatly, if I ever show up to any of these LS1tech races next year, I wouldn't be able to run extreme mod according to the rules. I might say screw it, and do it anyway. The side windows are pretty cheap.

If it where me I would pick up some power window/lock switches for hotrods that have a bezel around them. Then you can just cut some rectangles in the aluminium and mount them flat on the panel. Should look half decent.

or you could use mid 80s chevy truck switchs, square, simple, cheap at the junkyard, or any autoparts stores (most carry them amazingly)
