Default Thinking motor plates...

Who still sells these? I know about Madman and Stenod, anyone else? I guess making my own is an option, but I haven't researched how to do that. Anyone running plates now, please chime in on how they change the overall behavior of the car.

Thanks!

Replied, Hawkn01...

Also, Liften'im, I'm planning on running the motor/mid plate setup for ease of removing the engine, fixed motor placement for turbocharger plumbing, and structural rigidity of both the car and engine.

Every drag car I build from now on will use them. Wish I had went w/ them in the TA right off the bat.

Matthew Harlan was kind enough to suggest using longer bellhousing dowel pins and bolts. I'll figure it out when mine comes in.

Whoever makes the converter can add length to the hub and mounting pads.
Or if you already have the converter, you can mill the center hub and the mounting surface pads of the flexplate down, at least on a TCI FP you can.
