Slow track times!!!
In the latest GM High Tech they have an article where they ran a stock LS1 SS camaro on stock rubber to a 12.9 in 90 degree heat. Now I look on the racing post and see guys with H/C cars running high 12's or even 13's! Why is there such a difference. I mean whats up. That is really strange to me and I cant get over this. I thought a head/cam car would go high 11's. I know there are variables involved but come on! Someone please enlighten me. Thanks.
P.S. The 12 second run came off a 4,000 RPM launch on stock tires!
theres some fallacy where you take one example and say that is the rule for everything, this is not the case.
edit- I remember reading Futral Motorsports has a cam only car that runs in the 10s or maybe 9s, I dont remember,
but why is that???
