Why do M6s turn in crap results at the strip, cam only?

with a lid, catback, free mods and spec stage 3----12.97@110 mph 2.06 60' thats a fullweight M6. Myself and half a tank of gas i weigh in at 3660lbs
By the time i go to the track this spring, , Im going to have more mods such as Longtubes and ORY, SFCs, a 9 inch with 4.11s and its gonna be set up for draggin'. (LCAs, adj drag shocks, etc etc.) along with that will be some M/T street drag radials on it.

I know this is an old thread but listen up:
LET SOMEONE ELSE DRIVE YOUR CAR
I dyno'ed less than 360 and 12.3x at 115.5 with a 2.0 sixty in the cold, with ls6 baby cam and street tires, not drag radials. Full bolton and cam. I have a friend that can't drive and i can pull 2.5-3.5 more mph in his car. When I ride with him, it seems as if he is shifting pretty well, but with the same 60 fts and multiple comparitive runs, there is no other explanation. SAME CAR, different driver, more than one track and on different days. Let more than one person drive it for a couple passes at the track and then you'll have your results. Even with the pos stock torque down low, you have much more in it. 88 is way too low, and if you think the second half of the track is less speedshifting, and more just flooring it. One gearshift compared to three, if i'm correct with 4.10's.
Just my two cents

The loss of mph is definetly in the 1/8. Its all in the 330'. The 330' is 3-4 tenths slow. THAT is mainly the launch and the 1-2 shift when I can full on power shift it no problem. I think the problem is as everyone else here has said. There is no low end torque and that has to be made up with a 5k+ rpm launch..thats the only way its gonna do it. Stock cars have way more torque from 1500-3500 and thats apparently where mine is dropping into after the 3k-3500 dumps and slides I was trying.
BTW I ride a turbo-hayabusa and have made over 600 passes with it so I am pretty well versed in going down the strip, analyizing the time slips and figuring driving/riding problems. It runs 9.0s-9.10@163 with only a 4" extension and a street tire. My car problem is more setup/cam related.
