Does it work OK with the stock alternator?

Yeah, worried about pumping too many amps into a small battery

I knwo alot of guys use them with stock Alts no problem, I've been using mine with both ASP underdrive pullies. I havn't had to put a charger on it yet this year, I don't run any fans or heaters with the car off in the lanes though. I believe that any SLA charger will work.

Here's the one I have.

Here's a list of all the hawkers and their specs.

BTW: The PC925 is a great option too, it's 25lbs though.

I got the exact same one as GM Muscle but the name is different, Odyssey pc680. I got it off of an ebay vendor.

I've been using the Dynabatt this season with the Thunder holder. Hasn't given me any problems. I even killed it once, trickle charged it overnight and it was good to go again.

I'm running a Hawker Odessy in my '02. Cranks the car and works fine when charged, but it does not have much of a reserve and also will not hold enough charge to crank if the car sits for a couple weeks. My '02 is a semi garage queen, so it sits sometimes for 2-3 weeks without being driven. I have to remember to put the trickle charger on it a few hours in advance of driving it, otherwise when i jump in the starter solenoid just clicks.

Noyzee, I am running the same as GMMuscle as well, and got mine off ebay motors, typed in search pc680, ordered from the buy now, and got it in 3 days. Easy install, no adapters really needed, however I am buying them as posted on their ad. For basic install, unbolt terminals from present batt. remove the bolts from the rubber boots, and install bootless terminals using the allen head screws provided with battery. Then, I used a 1.25" (1" is NHRA legal but I didnt want tech having a fit) wide flat aluminum from Home Depot, bent into same shape as GMM, bolted down using stock hold down bolt, and drilled in one self tapping screw on the vertical riser. I use a stock alt. ASP UDP, I run my car as a daily driver (well was until the A4 **** the clutches again ), stock stereo, AC, Lights, and I power my laptop from an inverter as well as wideband, occasionally a manual low speed fan switch with the car in the pits. NO ISSUES YET. I love it, small, compact, lighter by a long shot. Like I said, I will order the terminal lugs, they screw into the batt. and then you can use the stock hardware with rubber boots. Good luck and you'll enjoy it.

Brad, I've read that a few people have had trouble starting their cars with the PC680 mounted in the rear. I know that Mighty Mouse had been running one in the rear no problems though.
