i highly doubt your rim is spinning in the tire. ive gone 9.20 with no screws without the rim spinning. a friend of mine goes 8.50's on drag radials without spinning the rim.

its gonna be harder for you because you are an m6. the mt dr will stick A LOT of power to the ground...but its still a drag radial and there is a point where it cant take the shock. there is a technique to launching a stick car on a dr that you need to learn. i just dont see laying it on a 2-step and dropping the clutch the way to do it.

Another C5 owner here. 26x11.5x16 running anywhere from 9-12 lbs. Never had a problem on the big end with the pressure that low. Off the 2-step I've been cutting 1.5x consistently with 100% stock suspension, just lowered it some.

So you do not have any hardened output shafts or the DTE strut brace?? I was starting to get scared that the car may break a rear end part if I went lower psi and launched at a higher rpm. I still need to go back to the track and experiment more to get into the 11s. I know the car can do it I just need trial and error with some practice.
