lol, she will just feel lucky that she doesn't have to sit on the floor. She might get the boot before spring anyway.

Did some more drilling tonight. Down to 10.8lbs and I havn't touched the sides yet. Probrably pop acouple of 3" holes in the shoulders. Not sure if I'm going to touch the peice between the back and sides. Holes look kinda funny because they havn't been smoothed and finished yet.

that looks damn good... effective too!

What are the sizes of the holes?

Also, is that legal for NHRA/IHRA competition? Will they give you hell at tech for it?

The small holes are 1.25" and the big are 3.5". The two shoulder holes will be 3" and I have to finsh up the bottom of the seat with some 1" and .75" holes. From there I'm going to weigh it again and then decide if I can pop some more holes without making the seat look like **** or super weak.

This isn't SFI equipment so I don't see why I can't modify it with in reason. If they don't like it I'm only out $120. It also looks like a light weight Kirkey at first glance.

Brackets came in tonight, quick mock up. It's a Corbeau base with Kirkey mounts. Will be less than 5lbs when done, alittle on the heavy side but they will drop right in and I will be able to easily adjust the layback.

I need to snap some pics od Sean's (Fastech, KECHME) seats. He's my HERO when it comes to swiss cheesed Kirkeys. I'm going to do mine EXACTLY like his. I think he said Madman did his.

Did a little research...

Looks like the Corbeau bracket part number is:
Drivers side - D1068T
Passengers side - D1069T
Sell for $78.50 on corbeau website
Here is a link for the part numbers: http://www.corbeau.com/bracket_guide/bracket.shtml

Looks like the Kirkey Bracket part number is: 99204
Sells for $43.00 through Kirkey
Sells for $39.99 through Jegs
Here is a link for the part number:
http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...tegoryId=23669

Hopefully GM Muscle will varify that these are the parts he used. I am also not sure who caries Corbeau parts. You might be able to get them cheaper.

Yep those are the numbers and priced each. They are originally slider brackets, that's why they are so much. I can't build my own because the car isn't here and I sold my Corbeaus, so I need a seat that will deffinatly drop right in over at the warehouse when I swap them.

I'm using a 1/4 Dewalt self piloting bit to pre drill. And then BiMetal hole saws. You'll want a good drill and lots of WD40 to do this. All the holes will have to be cleaned up with a dremel.

Yep, just unbolt the sliders and then your ready to start setting up the Kirkey brackets and drilling adjustment holes. The 16-17" seats will work perfect with the Corbeau brackets but the 18"+ seats will be alittle to wide (will still work though).

No wonder they are so expensive. They are sliding brackets. Yeah..if you had the car and seat you could make something similar for alot cheaper.

yea i wonder how hard it would be.. i guess my dad can fab something up.. hes an engineer and all into that ****...

for all us cheap ***** with girls that still ride in our cars.. we could do just the drivers side, and pull the passenger seat at the track and save a few more lbs... prolly what ill have to do

i wonder which is more comfortable.. the economy or the pro street???

u could drill on the economy just as easy and it would only be 4-5lbs heavier
