i would say for ultimate adjustability on the strip i would say
double adjustable hals for the front with a 325 spring(if your full wieght) or a 300 spring(if your light) and you can go with double adjustable coil over hals out back
i have full sphon rear suspension and hal R shocks up front with 325 springs and hal f series out back and my car hooks like an animal on MT ET street radials

I have the Chris Alston Chassisworks Varishock double adjustables in the rear with stock springs. I like them so far - only had them on for one track day and didn't get enough passes to dial them in completely. Definitely make a difference. Now I wish I had spent the money on doubles for the front instead of Hal R's.

For a basic street setup, stock springs or convertible springs w/ a single adj or even stock shock will be fine. The money is in the front setup.
completely gutted ls1 = afco's with a 250 spring. atleast thats what my teacher said (28 year drag vet, editor for popular hotrodding, and has a book out for suspension tuning)
