Snell 90 or SFI 41.1A .......SFI 41.2A ??????

Default Snell 90 or SFI 41.1A .......SFI 41.2A ??????

Is SFI 41.2A, ( Helmet) better or worse then the Snell 90 or SFI 41.1A min needed to run 9.99 and quicker?????

Just wondering cause i searched and found the Min needed and it looks to be better to me but wanted to be sure before i spent the $$$

Snell M90 (minimum requirement for 9.90 ET/135 MPH or faster) is the same as 41.1A (open face) and 41.2A (closed face) and do not offer flame resistance. I would recommend Snell SA2000 or it's equivalent 31.1A (open face) or 31.2A (closed face), this offers flame resistance.

I think a 90 is no longer legal for 135 plus for 2006. i may be wrong though

90 Is no longer valid starting next year. They have a 15 year limit to them (at least in the NHRA) and as such you need a 95 or later snell rating. If you are going to spend the money on a new helmet, just look at getting a nomex lined one instead of a el cheapo motorcycle helmet. The polyester in a standard helmet isn't to friendly to your face in a fire.
