The track I go to has HORRIBLE prep and I can only hook if I'm at around 16-18 PSI anywhere above 20 and I spin them. Thats just my experiances and I have a lot of passes changing my psi and laucnching under the same conditions. Also I have to heat them up pretty good if I just clean them off it does nothing for me. But then again that just might be my track, they dont even really clean off the loose rubber and only prep the track once before you start racing. I'll have to go to our local 1/8th mile track and give that a try with higher PSI, they really have a good rep for being a great hooking track/good prep. I'm not trying to discredit madman or anyone else above because thery really know there stuff, more than I do by far. I'm just sharing my experiances.

listen guys every car is different and everyones suspension is different.

i have hals all around, sphon ta, lca, panhard, relocation brakets set to lowest, and im on 255/50/16 etstreet radials.

at 16 psi they wrinkled and hooked like crazy with a nice 2ed gear burn out leavin at 5500. i then tried 14 psi and a 600 launch and it launched even harder and lifted the wheels even highr hahaha

i will try a higher psi next time just to see but for me a heavy burnout in 2ed gear is the way to go

Jerflash, I was reading a thread where Madman said that if you use the bottom hole on the relocation bracts you can cause some kind of bind with the torque arm, and that you should use the middle hole if possible. Did you ever hear of this?

first place i heard this is in this thread and when i told madman about my setup he did not tell me to move it to the middle hole. and i have no problems hooking up.

i called up madman because i had bad wheel hop with my setup even with the sphon stuff and the brakets. he told me that it was the shocks...and he was right. the rear shocks were done after 3 years of constant hard shifts and even more so now they they had to control a 12 bolt now. no i have no more problems and i dont see how it could bind. basicaly the ta and the lca are already causing the rear to "bind" by stoping it from rotating up...i ahve no problem like i said
