if you are only considering rwhp, then yes, but of course there is alot more to it than that...
Gearing, transmission/converter/shifting, weight, suspension and tires etc, etc, etc...
That being said, we went 10.80's with 409rwhp at 3350lbs(raceweight) in OK weather, not great weather...rest of the car was setup pretty good, decent shocks with OK hooking, great torque converter, 4.10's, 26" slicks, skinnies on front

With a light enuff car and a good set up you don't need anywehere near that much power.
I'm only making 328 rwhp and have run a best of 11.04 @ 122mph in ok weather, if i could go now i'm sure it would hit a 10.999. My car is VERY light but it still looks semi normal inside (all panels, carpet, two race seats) and it is my daily driver.

We ran 10.98 with 1.43 60fts with only 408 rwhp. The car weighed in at 3480#s with me in it. That was with sticky drag tires, 10 bolt with stock 323 gears, Yank ST3500,awesome air @ -1500 DA, and a very well prepped track. We had no suspension upgrades except for an air bag which I do not recommend. The right stall converter is critical. Our entire package was extremely efficient. Bigger isn't always better.

for some reason it seems like the ls1 cars dont need as much power to run that fast as say a convetional sbc car, why is that, oo and if my car has about 390rwhp, weighs around 3000lbs even with driver, has 28x11.5x15 e/t street slicks, 4.56's a 3500stall and a th350 with a lower first gear (2.75 instead of the normal 2.50) what would be your guess as to how fast it would go , and my car would be running at englishtown if that makes a diffrence
