Just like it says what will it take to get 500 to 500+ RWHP all motor no nitrous,turbo, or super charger. I would like to have my car putting out 500 to the RW just with the motor. Please help with mods and ideas. Thanks in advance.Can it be done with LS1 motor?

402 will get you there nicely. TSP is having a sale on em in the LS2-LS7 section. But to attain your goal you will need cubes.

You could do it on a stock CI motor, but it's gonna take something really radical to get you there, huge cam, ported 90/90 BIG headers, that type of stuff, and it probably would not run too well in anythign other then a very lightweight car, and it probably doesn't have the TQ to back up the HP #. People have done it with h/c setups, but it's not the norm. A 402 setup would get you there no problem I'd think.. and wouldn't require anything too radical to get there. A good reliable 400+ CI setup should see 500 rwhp... and a radical 400+ should be able to see in the upper 500's I'd think.

Will take less with a six speed, have seen 380 inch LS1 do it. Power takes cubic dollars not cubic inches.

I put down 490 with a 383 and mild cam. my 408 did 550rwhp with a mild cam.

What driveline setup are you running? That's gonna be a big factor as well. 500rwhp thru a stick car isn't anywhere near the same as trying to do it thru a th400 and loose converter....
