Q. about timing sets for serious power

for those of you making serious power out of a ls1/6 800+ what timing sets do you run. i bought a comp timing set with adjustable gear. have been advised to run those gears with a jwis or c5r chain. any thoughts inputs etc. if im going to run the jwis i need to get it ordered today. on sale at thunder through today.

my motor is a 363ci 13.5:1 with afrs (225) fast 90/90 and direct port.
goal is 1000hp

I'm running that timing set not sure what chain...but it must be something decent cuz it's held up so far. lol

how much power? are you running the comp chain on it?

also this is a solid roller setup with .640 lift and spring pressure to go with it

900+ at the crank. I'll ask my engine builder what chain he put on, but I would guess the comp chain since he's running the comp adjustable timing set.

Solid roller here too with just under .700 lift.
