Lightest trailing arms?
Old school boxed hotchkis trailing arms.
I put them in the bird back in 1998!!!!
Monster sized.... huge and heavy.
Bird is at 2848..... and soon to lose heat and several other things.
Now I'm looking elsewhere.
I'm figuring some type of chrome moly trailing arm would be best.
Adjustable would make a bit more sense for trial and error for launches.
Anyone ever actually weigh theirs?
Anyone know the lightest ones out there?
Thanks in advance!
I'm running Moly BMR adjustables, but honestly, I think any tubular chromoly LCA will be close to another.
However, some true weights will make this a great thread and we can update the weight reduction sticky.
TTT.

I personally dont have any experience with aluminum control arms, but I dont think they would compare in strength and rigidity to a set of chromemoly. I dont think they would break, but I bet the flex a lot under hard launches.

see www.herronperformance.com to view (I am not selling them anymore so this is nto unpaid advertising.) Just for reference. But can give you all the part numbers needed if you want to make some.
But found it much cheaper to buy from others...ie SJM and some others....
Just wondering for comparison reasons.

Your site says yours are 33% lighter? Look similar to BADZ, but I am sure the BADZ arent 3lbs each? Anyone weigh a set?
For those companies making the Rod ended ones, not sure how they are getting them lighter than 4#s each b/c the ends are the heaviest part.
Our LCA kit is 2lb 11.5 ounces...this is WITH the rod ends.
We offer our LCA's in either standard or custom offset for wider tires. We use ONLY high-end QA1 rod ends (most everyone does on this board now)
As mentioned above, ours are competitely priced.
