Looks like you cut the entire front brace out? I have mine drilled for my little kit but I can't see cutting it out entirely. I thought about cutting mine out and welding a bar accross the front to allow for more intake area. Are you guys removing the whole hood latch assembly and using pins too?

looks like they will be removing front bumper, hood latch (so you gotta have a pin on hood), radiator support looks to be cut off and replaced by a bar.
Looks like this is for track only cars. or street cars with big ***** .
It does look like ALOT of work so i expect the $$$ to be pretty up there. And i read that Madman is only going to be doing this in house, so that means even more $$$.
Looks like it will definatly do whats it's supposed to though.

I'm thinking one thing you could do is get an slp grill like me and make a mount so it can be removed easily so you'd have a basically stock appearance on the street but have it open for the track. Then paint the scoop flat black.

No the price is really reasonable and I can expect that once madman has this down and the gig made, the price will be very good for what you expect to get. I am sure since I am the guinney pig that he charge me double what he is going to charge you guys. No the price was very reasonable and would have cost me double to make this myself for the material and time it would have taken me.

+1

Hopefully they can be used while keeping most of the stock components (hood latch, etc).

My hood latch is already gone, along with the washer fluid reservoir, so I think just the bumper will have to go. I'm wondering if the bumper suppor foam will still be there?

I wonder if "mini gulp" that goes in the plate hole of a transam is possible?

Yes , and with a little work it can look OEM too, and use a stock filter if you wish.

a simple frame of aluminum or steel round tube would be enough to hold the cover up without the foam

A mini gulp thru the plate hole would work for me.... I'd be up for removing the bumper support to do it too, if somethign was made up to support it so it wouldn'st sag and look like hell like most of the cars I see with them removed.

Too bad madman is way the hell down in texas, if he was local, I'd drop my car off to have something fabbed up.
