The nice thing about the big gulp is it was designed to help hold the bumper up. The way it is fabricated, the bumper does not sag at all.

Have you guys hooked anything up to see if the big gulp actually generates any boost at a given speed?

I don't have my bumper support in and my front end doesn't sag at all. Should it? I thought it was just to help absorb and distribute impact from a collision.

I had a ram air before that was similar just not as large. I removed it and took it to Madman for this setup. I should be able to tell the difference right away. I will let you know. We are leaving out now for the track.

Well we went to the track and first off, we are trying to get the new suspension dialed in so some of the data is not as accuarate as we would have liked. 1st pass off the trailer the tires spun really bad and my 60' was 1.82. That pass I went a 11.04@129.54mph. The MPH was very impressive for such a shitty pass. The next pass we adjusted the shock and raised the tire pressure and it was somewhat better. 10.55@129.69mph with a 1.59 60'. My best pass tonight was 10.53@129.79mph with a 1.47' so the numbers are not as accurate as I would have liked but from what I can tell, this thing picked up MPH on the big end by just looking at the 1st pass. I will be heading back to HRP on Friday and hopefully we will be working on the suspension a little more to dial it in and once we are completed, we will have 100% accuracy on this new mod for everyone. I also picked up more than 70lbs with all of my new mods from MADMAN which I expected to gain some but not quite that much. I guess I will be spending more money this week to get this monster light again.

Thanks,
Joe

I went 130MPH at 10.30. What impressed me was the 11.04 (Shitty time) but my MPH was still there at 129.54. I know if I had a few more passes tonight I would have gotten into the low 10.30's or high 10.20's. The car is much better ( I did not log the passes like normal since the suspension was my main objective) but we are starting from scratch since we made so many suspension changes at once.

Thanks,
Joe

Too bad madman is way the hell down in texas, if he was local, I'd drop my car off to have something fabbed up.
All of the cars i've seen with no bumper support don't sag.
Mine sags a bit cause it was in a wreck.

Quite a few guys have a set up like that. here's mine.
My dual 4" ram air helped out ALOT OVER my fast toys ram air. I gained 1 mph and .10 off my ET AFTER adding about 120 lbs. (this is over the FTRA).

I made the plate at work. and used about $25 in materials from home depot.
chris1313: i make the plate to where the holes are offset so you can run it with the a/c condenser. but it is close. I used to run mine with my a/c. i've made a few for friends and anyone hwho see's my set up and likes it. Everyone that has installed it says they love it. a few like my self felt a big difference when swapping it out for a "fast toys" like set up.
The only down side is you have to cut into your radiator support under the air filter for it to fit. but hey thats just less weight.

Can't wait to install mine in about a month here. Looks like a real nice piece so far.... probably will have some questions by then.

So far I have about 5,000 miles with the plate riding around in the backseat of my work car....
