I think 1 MPH is inconclusive. I would like to see before and after top-end manifold pressure graphs.

chris1313: i make the plate to where the holes are offset so you can run it with the a/c condenser. but it is close. I used to run mine with my a/c. i've made a few for friends and anyone hwho see's my set up and likes it. Everyone that has installed it says they love it. a few like my self felt a big difference when swapping it out for a "fast toys" like set up.
The only down side is you have to cut into your radiator support under the air filter for it to fit. but hey thats just less weight.
can you make me one? hehe. i am keeping a/c.

as far as cutting the support, can i just wholesaw it for the two holes?

i thought about holesawing but you figure that the holes are 4" so to have decent clearence around the holes you would need atleast a 5"-6" holesaw.
that support doesn't really support anything except for your air lid. If you look in the big gulp pics they cut it out and replaced it with a small bar.

yea, madman never follows trends he always thinks of his own, hence the reason he is as good as he is at what he does

i just took my original idea and improved on it by lookin at his idea by the intake box, but hey, thats what the site is for, multiple people puting work together comes out with a pretty good product usually

Well the good thing is we picked up MPH sunday at the track. The bad thing is we have started over with the suspension since changing everything. Our MPH is 130.97 @ 10.43. We will be at HRP Wed. for some more tracking testing. With this MPH we should be able to improve over our 10.30 if we can get it to hook.

Great looking Box Rodney. If I had the time I would have done mine but I have been way to busy with trannys.

Good Luck!

Joe

Any updates on this. I am looking at buying a Fast Toys Ram Air setup for my 01 Z28. I would much rather buy something like this......

Thanks,

We picked up 2mph on the big end and went a 10.23 @ 132mph. I say thumbs up and it was well worth the cost!

No we need to get Madman to produce a few more of these. I'd be willing to try one.

If we could get madman to make something for a transam lic. plate hole, that would be sweet too.... hint hint. I'd be willing to be a test dummy for that

Yeah.. I'm a dummy... sometimes I do like the setup that you made, it looks pretty good too, paint it and it's hardly even noticable.

Out of fuel? I assume you didn't get the injectors/pump to keep up with that

yeah.. I like that. I want to be able to suck up small woodland creatures LOL, and with the 402 that I am now building to stuff in my ride, I'm sure there will be plenty of vacum to do so
