Default Plastic type race seats

search function is not working or I dont know how to use it.
I have searched for 2 days for some info about the Jegs/Summit Plastic seats and I come up empty and I know there was some.

Can someone post up pix and possibly shots of the mounting of the seats.

Not looking for commentary about the seats as they suck and Kirks would be better. This is a drag car I might spend an hour total in for the 12 months of the year. Comfort went out the door when the HVAC/Interior/PS etc was deleted.

If someone can teach me about the search function that would be great too.

I used a stock bracket and modified it with some aluminum braces for extra support.

Those are the pix, thanks! Where did you get the plastic for the delete panels and how did you attach it to the stock dash piece?
Can you post more details on the mods you made, either here or PM me?

Shon - check Dirk (RacinLT1?) on cz28.com his Yahoo page shows his mounts.

FWIW - my Summit seats are double padded and much more comfortable than my 130k mile stock seats.

I got the plastic from a car audio place called Parts Express. They come in different thicknesses. I used 1/4" and believe it or not duct taped them to the back side of the radio bezel. You can't tell by looking and it still has a strong enough hold where you could mount some guages or switches in it. As far as my mods go, here is a link to my homepage. If you use the stock sliders like in them pictures above your only going to be saving a few pounds. My stock drivers seat was 32lb, and the stock slider was 20 of the 32lb.

My hope was to replace the stock sliders due to their weight. I probably should just get the seat/mount/slider here and then figure it out.

Too bad you aren't closer. I am actually selling the seat, bracket, and 5 point harness.

I see in Jegs they have a slider and a mount, do I just need the sliders our should I get the mounts too, they say the slider only works with their mount but dont believe that....

Would the mount be something I needed or will I end up making the mount out of something else and sending back the Jegs mount?
