Plastic type race seats
search function is not working or I dont know how to use it.
I have searched for 2 days for some info about the Jegs/Summit Plastic seats and I come up empty and I know there was some.
Can someone post up pix and possibly shots of the mounting of the seats.
Not looking for commentary about the seats as they suck and Kirks would be better. This is a drag car I might spend an hour total in for the 12 months of the year. Comfort went out the door when the HVAC/Interior/PS etc was deleted.
If someone can teach me about the search function that would be great too.

Those are the pix, thanks! Where did you get the plastic for the delete panels and how did you attach it to the stock dash piece?
Can you post more details on the mods you made, either here or PM me?

Shon - check Dirk (RacinLT1?) on cz28.com his Yahoo page shows his mounts.
FWIW - my Summit seats are double padded and much more comfortable than my 130k mile stock seats.

I got the plastic from a car audio place called Parts Express. They come in different thicknesses. I used 1/4" and believe it or not duct taped them to the back side of the radio bezel. You can't tell by looking and it still has a strong enough hold where you could mount some guages or switches in it. As far as my mods go, here is a link to my homepage. All of my mods are listed: http://home.comcast.net/~matthewdatri/Matthewdatri.html

If you use the stock sliders like in them pictures above your only going to be saving a few pounds. My stock drivers seat was 32lb, and the stock slider was 20 of the 32lb.

Would the mount be something I needed or will I end up making the mount out of something else and sending back the Jegs mount?
