Default Short belt mod ?

Has anyone seen any real performance gains for the short belt mod, is it actually worth the money to get the belt just for the track...anyone do any back to back runs?

Guy that always works on my car said its good prolly for a tenth maybe. Gives you that extra push if you wanna drop a little off your ET. my take on it, why not. Your just driving straight anyway so power steering isnt all that important. I would have had a definate answer for ya, but we didnt have the tools at the track to perform it. Ill see if i can find someone who has done it.

i havent done back to back tests, but i did bypass the power steering once, and saw no gains from my normal times. wasnt worth it to me to struggle with trying to turn the wheel to get into the lanes & exiting the track.

I run the short belt on my car and can tell a difference. Never did any back to back testing so I cant say how much it helps. My guess is that it take at least .05s off the quarter mile time.
