Default What is this?

I think it was sticking into the back of the hvac somewhere and I went to try and pull off the side that had the little hose goin toward that way and one of the other pieces broke. Is it a vacuum line or anything that needs to be capped, or can I just cut it out? It's coming out of the wiring harness that comes from behind the motor, then runs into that t lookin piece and then one side went to where the hvac was and the other side continues on into the wiring harness and through to the front of the car somewhere.

Cap it off if you don't have HVAC. if not it could cause vaccume leak.

Actually just rip it out. it ends up connecting to that small nipple on the back of your intake. Just cap off that nipple on the intake and pull the rest of that crap out. it controls your A/c vents. under the hood it also Tee's off and goes to a vacum canister under the passenger side fraim rail. rip that out too.

i remember an old thread from GM Muscle asking what was that..

Some people said it was a vacum accumulator for the intake.. In case vacum fails it takes vacum from that thing or something like that.. i will search for it..

EDIT- here it is: https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-external-engine/302079-what-thing-pic.html
