Default Headwind and E.T.

A budy of mine and I have an friendly argument going.

He is claiming that a 18-20mph head wind caused him close to two tenths [0.20s] of a second in ET. Im saying its probobly closer to five one-hundredths [0.05s] This is on a car running high 10's

What do you guys think? What have you experienced?

IMO, it is just common sence that it will slow you down more WAY more than .05

Just feel the resistance when you WALK DIRECTLY against a 20mph wind, let alone drive a 3500lb brick down the track. I'd say AT LEAST 1/10th difference.

^^^again, just my opinion.....no science.

PS--30mph directy head-on wind when I ran my 12.3

Wind can be a little or a lot. Aerodynamics are a big factor in this.

I'd say a good tenth at least if the wind truly was 20 mph.
