Default 28x9x15 ET Drag or 255/60/15 ET Radial

I have a 1991 LS1/4L60E RX7. Suspension is stone stock, 4000 stall and bolt on's plus a mild nitrous shot 50-100. I've been using 26x10x15 Hoosier Slicks at the track and liked them. I usually cut between 1.5-1.7 60fts depending on how well I launched the car. The old slicks are toast because the fender well was hitting them, so I rolled the fender.

I want to run taller slicks because I am running out of gear in the top end. I've narrowed it down to two choices:

These ET Radials (27" tall):

3756R P255/60R15 R2 31 8.0 27x10.50R15 10.7 8.8 27.1 85

or these ET Drags:

3024 28.0/9.0-14 L8 21 8.0 9552 replaced by 9553 11.0 8.5 27.2 86

Price is about the same, but it looks like the ET Radials are quite a bit heavier (10# each!), but they won't grow on the top end and it should make it a bit safer from swaying on the top end as I don't have skinnies up front.

Do you think I will 60ft significantly worse with the ET Drag Radial over the full slick? That's my biggest concern with picking the radials.

i have had the 28x9 and the 275/60/15 radial by m/t. for a lower power (under 550 rwhp) auto, go with the radial version. it will also mph slightly better. the extra weight of the radial did not hurt at all. i went slightly better 60' b/c i didnt spin on the radial.

thanks! The car is only making a little over 300rwhp on motor, not a lot of power.

Im going with the radial and see how well it does. They're a little cheaper too anyway.
