how to start pulling the dash? im about to start later today and need to know where to start...
can i leave the steering wheel on while i pull the dash?

You can leave the steering wheel in,you just have to loosen the 13mm nuts holding the column up and let it drop to safely remove the instrument cluster.I would start in the middle with the vents,radio and a/c controls.I just got through reinstalling mine after getting a 10-point installed.I hope this helps.
Pull the top dash pad off, and remove the screws under it. Remove the 13mm column nuts and let it hang. Remove the cluster, the radio, and hvac controls. Then there are two 13mm nuts on each side behind the lower kick panels, once you have those out you can start pulling out the dash after you have diconnected all the plugs/wires running to it.
