Default 4.10's,nitrous,and 28" tire

I was wondering what gear I should go with if im going to run a progressive 200 shot and a 28" tire? I was thinking about going with 4.10's but some people say if you are spraying to go with 3.73's? what gear should I go with.

You may find you'll get a larger performance increase if you up the stall and drop the gearing down, gearing doesn't make as much differance on a a4 as it does on an M6. For example, last year I ran a 12.22 on street tires & 2.73 gears with a 4000 stall, switched to 4.10 and slicks and only ran 11.91. The majority of the ET increase was due to better traction. 4.10's wouldn't be a bad choice for all out track only performance however if you plan on any street action or daily driving 3.73's or even 3.42 would be a nice gear with a higher stall. I just put 3.42's back in and am going to a 4200 stall with a th400 and a 28"tire with a 150 shot.

I was recommended to go with a 3.55 or 3.50 gear for nearly same appication. Too many ppl ran out of gear on mid sized shots, and 28" tire. Figure I want to add another 50% to those shots, I went with 3.50's in a 9", 28" tire, 4000stall (looking at going down to a 3600ish) and a TH350 w/ brake. No new times on the rear, our track is closed. Daily Driving is awesome though.

I'm the same as CAT

i still am thinking of doing a 4.30 back in with a 30" tall tire. car has fallen on it's face with the 3.50's and TH350 N/A off the footbrake since it's a nitrous converter.

but for now sticking with the 28", 3.50, TH350 with stock first gearset.

Have no problems hooking it at this point.
