Where did you get your new front nose? I need a new one also.

Good luck this season.

My painter/body man (and secondary sponsor) got it for me. Now sure where, I'll find out. It costs about $225 - he usually gives me a brake on the painting .

We are hoping for track times soon - possibly next weekend. This weekend is our first points race . Oh well. We are going to spend the weekend buttoning things up. Will only need to finish the 10 point cage and limiters and should be ready for the track. Oh course I have not had it certified yet, so I should last a couple runs before I'm asked to leave

Thanks everyone. Nitrous was a "gas". We have always wanted to try a turbo set-up. The bumper draging crap from last year just pushed the time frame up. -- Remember, broke my good stock engine -- went 408 iron block -- would have needed to add a good size nitrous shot to keep up with the rest, figured to go with the turbos instead.

I just wish we still had the LS1 Tech racing series .

I might have room in the garage for a sleeping bag or 2

Derek, I would love to visit Florida. Would nice to meet up with a bunch of the guys. I believe Eric (Next) is from your area also. Maybe gas prices will go down

David,

What else can I say? Even us old nitrous junkies know the power of the dark (turbo) side.

I got the message this morning about the open house. I think you know why I won't be able to make it

Yes, I'm not too far from Derek. When it hits Winter again for you it will be a good excuse to come down where the tracks run year round.

Eric, Derek. We'll have to see what the summer/fall brings. Crossing my fingers that this summer is NOT like last summer's. The only thing stoping the SS from firing today was a bad cam sensor. Monday!!!

Thanks Derek, that about all you can do - one thing/day at a time.

Eric, thanks. We had a good time, made a bunch of contacts for the shop. IF (big IF) everything goes according to plans, we'll be there. Got to get it running first.

I bought a chute cable and plan on doing the ebrake release lever like yours. How is your cable set up at the back of the car to release the chute?

Drilled hole through back side pushed cable through. Nothing special. I did put a small lock on the chute to prevent anyone "accidentially" deploying the cute.

My cable looks exactly like yours does on ebrake side, and it's the same on both ends. What do you have that actually goes through the loop on the chute bag, and how does that piece attatch to the cable?

Tried to find a picture of the 2 ends. One went to the E-brake - had swivel on it. The other end is just a straight metal cable. Just stick the end into the loop. There is another trend on chutes also. There is a good picture of what I am talking about - posted by Noyzee

Do you have any pics of how you attached the chute mount to the rear plastic piece on your car?

The cute mount is attached by 4 tabs; 2 go just between the hatch and rear bumper; 2 others are placed in the license plate holder. Each tab has 2 pop-vivits holding it to each point. I attached another picture - not much better but the best I have.
