I agree with SUX2BU comments here. The Magnaflows have stainless packing and they have lifetime warranties per the manufacturer. I know their sale s mgr told me they take a little while to fully "set-in" with the packing and insulation, but they've never experienced a blow-out. I'd double check and if they are indeed bad, call 'em up and get some new ones on the house!

BTW the insides of mine were broken you could hear it when I shook them. I have the longer ones like SUX2BU strait off the header and they sound different. I really don't know how to explain them. They have a weird muffled sound, but hey they are deciently quiet and flow awesome.

Yeah its a VERY weird sound. No where near as bad *** as the bullets but it does the job for having basically quiet open headers.

Do you have any idea how much quieter the 18" case is than the 14" case? I have the 14's on a trex car... When I took off the bullets and put on the mufflers it was night and day, but now it drives me crazy again, and I can handle alot.

Sux, you need to clean the underside of that car.... seriously. There's probably a good 5 lbs of weight reduction just by cleaning that thing

I have had both the 14" and 18" Magnaflows and I would say there is minimum volume difference between the two. The only reason I switched was because the 14" ones broke loose/burned out and got pretty damn loud. If I had to do it again I would have gone with a shorter muffler either Magnaflow or Borla because the 18" can be hard to fit. I put mine right off the header collectors.
