Default Is it safe to drag race with Rear-Jounce-wheel Spacers?

Is is safe to drag race with wheel spacers, will it hurt performance?
what are dowsides of installing them on rear axles?
any experience with rear spacers???
I'm asking because I've noticed that my tires are slightly touching/scraping the inner wheel wall, rims are 17/11 Zr1 with 315/35/17 nitto tires on my Moser 9"
What can I do other than BFH mod ...lol
Please help out guys.

You are better off using the BFH. I twisted my drives side studs with no spacers because of the wheel hop I would get on a low profile tire like you are running, and they were not drag radials.
