If you have frame connectors on your car, thenI doubt that it's gonna flex enough for this to happen.

A car with 500+ rw with soicks, and no frame connectors, no cage no nothing... then it could twist enough to dislodge one.... but most people that build that kind of power have enough common sense to put a set of connectors on the car, and usually a rollbar setup too.

I've heard of it happening, never seen it. I cut 1.4's on DR's and my t tops don't even leak. I just ordered a pair of MT ET drags so I'll see I guess.

Not sure what my car will do for 60 foot times, but I'm suspecting with a 27x11/5 QTP, hal's, an aftermarket swaybar, oh, and a 402 running thru a 4500 stall and th400, with 4.10 gears, it should be capable of getting out pretty good... and the t-tops blowing out/cracking are the least of my worries at this point.

I've seen t-tops blow off on the highway and not break before. The only way they could conceivably break is if you had an insane amount of frame twist or someone threw a brick at your car as you launched.

could the guy who told you that be a foxbody owner? i'm saying that cause i witnessed a foxbody with t-tops crack its t-top after a hard launch. granted i don't know if it had sfc's but i know it was fast. so that might be thecase.

as for f-bodies, i can assure you its BS , since i have one with t-tops and cut numerous 1.3 60' times and 9 sec passes and still have the original tops on.

ive stood the car on the bumper, swisted all over the place, i even have a tiny wave in the top of the rear quarterpannels that you cant see but barely feel from frame stress, my tops are the originals and dont leak at all
