Rebuilding the stock motor with some different stuff, and changing the heads to somethign differnet, going th400. You've got me comvered in the weight department, but I figure if I can run 10.50 with most of the **** in the car, that probably will get more attenion.

Yeah, SBCLS1. It's an sb2.2 intake but it's been radically re-worked for the c5-r heads it sits on top of, it's two piece just like they'd normally be but the bottom plate bolts to the c5-r head face instead of sb2.2 heads! Should be interesting, this thing is enormous compared to the single plains out there for ls1 right now.

And yes, Erik is the man for sure, must have spent about 30 hours on the phone with him about this project and other things! I think this setup really put him through the works though considering the everything but the shortblock came from some one else besides HPE and it seemed to be one issue after the next. He definately came through for me though!!!

Cam/heads full bolt on street car with a 150 shot was the old setup

Soon to be (once I get out of the Middle East) 414 L92 with a S88 turbo, A2W intercooler, completely stripped with a 12 point, 9" narrowed 3" per side and, TH-400 BS-3, Everything is bought except for the short-block when they come out in the fall. Hoping for 4 digit rwhp and a mid 8 second pass.

thats my goal John, 8.99 on pump, not so sure is a realistic one but who knows, i think i'm probably just hitting a little to much compression to get that done.

The tune went pretty good. I also need some suspension work so I can leave hard enough to reach the et I desire.I just ordered a complete weld wheel / mt et tire setup along with all of the fast 90 stuff so things should start happening pretty fast. Im sure Ill see you soon.

hoping for a 10.5 on weak *** 100 shot eventually gap the rings for a 350 shot to take down the humble civic at 9.60's my buddys 408 on a 300 is already gonna try?

AFR 205 install with a Mamo 228/232 grind cam. Nothing tooooooo exciting for most in this thread, but I am mother F-in stoked!

Great tune....then a nitrous outlet fast 90mm is next!

For anyone that may have been confused by my unclear first post, this is not an sb2.2 motor, but just uses an sb2.2 intake that's been heavily modified for my c5R Gen 3 ls1 heads

LT1 car turned into a 12 point cage, 522 BBC carbed. On the bottle once I get initial tuning on motor figured out. tryin to get a 9 inch in there narrowed and the car minitubbed. Custom 5 inch cowl hood. All aftermarket suspension (still stock location ) hopin to hold all the power of the BBC

I crashed my cam only Camaro which went a best of 10.85 @ 126 with a 3275 raceweight.

New project is going to be a stretched, slicked, and sprayed Suzuki GSXR.

What was that car that it went that quick? Actually a cam only car? And I thought u car was stripped a lot more than that weight would show?

It might have been lighter. I am told the scales are always off. I had true stock 853 heads, TSP MS3 cam, full boltons, 4600 converter, etc. I had MT ET Streets but the car was never consistant. I switched to MT's drag radials and the car hooked no problem and was very consistant. The car would have gone faster, but I crashed it before I had the chance. DMcRacer has a similar setup as me, was heavier, and ran 10.70s with his car. Here is my homepage that has a list of my full mods. Click Here

Rebuilt the trans and added 4400 stall, rebuilt the rear-end and added 3.73 gears, added the cam, valve springs, pulley, etc and the motor lost all oil pressure 200 miles after I got it all done.

Now I'm looking at throwing a cammed 408 shortblock in it with stock heads, stock LS6 intake, and Jantzer tb. Then I'll be looking saving up for heads, intake, rear-end, probably a new trans and more importantly n2o

Just finished my latest project: my first cammed car. What a difference. I know it's nothing compared to 8.99 but hearing that lope at a light is music to my ears.

Been working on the chassis/suspension/drivetrain of the Z here first, pretty much a ground up re-build. then worry about the motor when thats all done.
