Default whats your current project?

i know there are a LOT of guys doing complete setup changes from the ground up right now, myself included, so what is your's if you are doing one? and if you're just changing something small whats the info on that also... pics are great, i'll try to get some of my new setup as soon as i can.
my old setup was stock internals with a th400 and minimal weight reduction, more of a haul *** daily driver than the hopefully 8 second nitrous car i'm doing now.

my new setup consists of: 13:1ish cr 346,kooks big boy headers, big cam, single plane manifold, nitrous, wolfe custom 10pt and through the floors, new tubular front suspension with coil overs, lots of weight redux, full weldon fuel system, 9" with 3.89s spool, alum everything, 5/8" studs, gundrilled, star flange, wolfe full rear suspension (torque arm, adj. spring perches (afco springs),LCAs/PHB, wheelie bars, and chute mount), forza IIs and complete new interior, 'glide (brake, good internals etc), 4800rpm PTC nitrous stall, aerospace light weight brakes and the list goes on....
i'll get some pics as soon as i get a chance, just really wondering what everyone else has going on right now.

oh yeah, i gotta thank some people at this point for their help and assistance, all the guys at Wolfe Racecraft, they built/installed my cage and through the floor subframes and it all looks great they got the car in and out in less than a week also (can't beat that), SImpleQuick Racing's Daniel and Scott, both guys have given me great ideas, and shot down a bunch of dumb ones that i've had in the past, lots of great help and inspiration, and just plain good guys and friends, Nitro Dave for his help in putting together the nitrous system (and the shocks, ha) great parts and awesome service, and all of my friends that spend time at the shop helping work on this thing, one day with some patience it will all be worth it.

Last set up was a ls6 427, ls6 heads, fast intake, Noszle dp kit, and a turbo 350.

This year will be ET C5R heads, sheet metal intake, NX dp kit and a powerglide. On the old set up the car weighed in at 2980 with a 160lb driver and this year I took more weight out and bought the Aerospace front and rear kit. With a decent sized shot of dope I would hope we could do some mid 8's or better.

My old setup was a cam only full weight setup, which turned into a heads/cam full weight setup over the winter, which Ibroke before I could ever get it to the track, now is turning into a TH400'd new motor setup with some pretty good parts... not saying what exactly it is, but it will have aftermarket heads, be n/a, be an alum block and will run in the 10's for sure

Bolt on only car at 8000ft DA 13.28 from 14.4

Latest round is
Bogarts
Strange 12 bolt (spool, 4.30's, shortened axles)
driveshaft

going to see what she'll do

she's giving up daily duties so next round is hvac, carpet and odds and ends to cut more weight. Should be in the 3000-3100 range easy.

ls1 in a 92 notch mustang, mostly spare junk left over from the camaro and friends cars. project started as a daily driver project with a/c and now (just started runing) is turning into a light wheight street strip car to run in the 9's as cheap as possible.

next step: iron out the bugs and slap the N2O kit in preperation to blow this motor ( a reject motor from my buddies camaro , which he tossed out after he bought it from the junk yard and installed it only to find out it smokes real bad) and get a real forged motor in there and up the shot.

guess you can say i'm testing to see what goes first , the motor or the frame

i was ls6 heads/236/230 cam at 3450lbs-11 second car. new setup is a 383, AFR heads, much bigger cam, vic jr intake. car was pretty close to stock suspension before, all of which has been upgraded. and lots and lots of weight reduction. should be under 3000lbs with me in it. will be running it n/a at first, then spraying it after the first few times out. looking for low 10s on motor, 9s on spray.

Well I just sold my 680ish rwhp c5 and bought back my old 99 z28
Known as Fast Orange the incon prototype car from back in early 2000 when the Twin kit started.
Fast Orange now has a 390+ci ARE Iron block motor that Nick Agostino Built before he left ARE ( The TT kit is long gone) , century 4l60 & a 9" I installed back in 2000 for the turbo kit.
Im updating the induction and headers( remove ls6 stuff and grotyohans(sp) and add fast 90 and kooks 1-7/8), Remove the 4L and install a TH400 into the car again and see if this 3500lb pig can run 10's na. Then I intend to find out if Nick really built this motor for a big kit like he said. I want a 9sec DD on the gas.

We will see.

Sounds like your goals are very similar to mine, you're just getting there with a slightly different path.

good to see the orange car back in action.

i need Tim to look at my tune and need to fine tune my suspension since i'm lowered.

we would evenly matched if your car is capable of high 10's na. I'm on the stock rear and trans so my time is coming for something to break which sucks..

how did the tune go last week?

that'll be awesome if you hit 9's with the AC still intact!

434 from HK Enterprises/HPE, heads-intake (sb2.2 and 4150 throttle body and 4" cowl hood givin me mad headaches)-valve covers w/spring oilers-rockers-fuel rails-10 point-etc. used from Jason at thunder from Ken at East Side pefromance, nasty performance fuel system, th400 with break, fuddle 4000 stall, and the list goes on and on. I've made schedules for this thing and i'm through with that, it gets done and runs when it does

My car was a stock daily driver last year and by the end of the summer I'm hoping for the following:
All bolt ons
TRex
4400 stall
4.10 gear (in a new GM 10bolt)
400lb diet
150 shot

By the winter I think I'll be looking into a set of ET 225 heads and/or a new tranny and/or a new rearend. It just depends on what breaks and what doesn't! I'll be hoping to build a 408 next summer and swap the heads and cam over along with a Victor jr and enjoy the **** out of it. Speeds costs so much money and college sucks.
