I would think a 4.5" B/S on a 10" wheel would work w/ a rear that's narrowed 3".

I have seen 5.5" per side, but they cut the outer most bracket and moved it in as far as they could (and still get the lca to fit without shims)..I am a purist and didn't think that was too "stock"

And everything is WITHOUT a mini tub on that car? that's amazing looking!

We ran the 29.5x10.5W on the Formula and had nothing but trouble. This was on a 10" wide rim. The car was all over the track. This happened mainly at the top end. We later found out that this tire should be ran on a 12" rim and would keep it more stable. We put a true 29.5x10.5 on the car and it went straight. Also ran the big 315 MT radial on the 10" rim and it went straight. I would not recommend running the 29.5x10.5W on a 10" rim.

Not sure how they do at high speed yet, but I could see them getting loose. I've even got a tube in it and I'm not sure I want to keep them on the car. I can see how with another half inch on the sidewall, they'd be all over the place. Can't believe that M/T recommends a 10" wheel on them either. My 275/60 BFGs fit perfect on the same 10" wheel.

So do you guys think a 12" wheel would be better with that tire,if so what bs and cut for the rear.I really don't want the car getting too "squirly" on the big end if I can help it.

I would go with 15x12 with 7" backspace. I would narrow 3.5" per side (at least) and mini-tub...I think that will work.(It might not be easy tho)...It should keep the outside edge of the wheel just inside the fender lip.

That car does look sick like that Mike but I think the difference is that these guys are still trying to stay stock suspended.
