Drag Racing Experts Get In Here Please!

i need some help...i have to do a speech in one of my classes on a hobby. SO i chose to do it on drag racing at the track. Can someone give me an outline of the steps again please. How many pre staging lights, and what color are the lights? etc. thanks!
