Default Need wheels/tires for track... 16" TA wheels or 17" WS6? MT's....

Looking to pick up a set of 16" TA wheels or 17" WS6 wheels to use at the track. Will be running MT ET Streets on the rears. Now my question is..... How much better will the 16's hook compared to the 17's? I don't have much pwoer right now but am sick of the 2.1 and 2.2 60's im pulling and want this combo to hold up when i get more power as well? Will the 16's hook noticeably better than the 17s? Thanks!

Good enough to choose them over the 17's!

I use my 17" ss wheels with the et streets.
mine hooks great and I love the stabillity in them. they have a little stiffer sidewall than the 16". My fastest 60ft so far was 1.59 with no spin. I think if you have your suspsion setup right you will be ok. I like the way the 17 looks on the car.
I have only used 16" on my V6 car. I have drove both on the interstate and the 17 was much better on the road.

I run 24lbs of air at the track.

I don't know which would hook better but unless you are going to be going faster than 11.00 you most likely could use either one.

16's ftw. 16's got better traction and lighter.
