I just back in to the waterbox & pull to the edge & hold the breaks & just nail it & burn the hides off em.

YES, YES, and YES. It will save your posi. Doing burnouts through the brakes will kill it.

Same here, M/T sportsman pros and no line lock. Pull to the edge of the box (I spin mine over slowly to make sure they're wet) and burnout.

The no line lock won't kill your posi, but it does eat the brakes up somewhat.

You don't want to mash the brakes as hard as possible. Just enough to keep the car from moving forward while you do the burnout. It takes a little practice but you'll get it. Make sure if you have traction control it's turned off (seems like a given but I've seen it happen) and make sure the tire is in the water (I go to the front edge of the box), and then spin to your heart's content (or until the tires get sticky, which mine do)!

Huh? I back into the box , hold the brake, hit the gas , release the brake at 3 seconds and roll out of the box. I cut 1.5 60's on motor doing this!

I have a line lock on the way, I think it will help quite a bit with the MT radials... I have trouble getting a consistent burnout.

When you get your tires in the water stop then let off the brakes for a split second let the car roll foward a little then press the brakes again while smashing on the gas. This tranfers the weight of the car off the back and to the front. lets you do a burnout pretty easy.

I use the SLP line lock. It was an easy bolt in and made for very consistent burn outs...

I do the same when I'm launching. I hold the brake just enough to keep the car from leaving, and just enough throttle to keep them from spinning!

I ran with out a LL for years. Then again I torn up more rear brake pads and rotors then I could afford at times The LL Cost less then a good set of brake pad's much less our expensice azz rotors

I got one from Jegs for $39.99 if I remember right

I just replaced my warped rear rotors and installed a line lock. I'd just get the LL.

I have a line lock from SJM. It's probably one of the best little things I've put on my car.

I voted no because I don't have one. But from reading this thread, I may have to invest in one. I'll talk to Mike @ New Era Performace about installing one on my car. Thanks for this thread and the tips.

Same here. Get their ABS delete and linelock package. Can't beat it for the price.
