Default N2o and stall question.

I thought this is a drag topic, so I am posting this here.

I am currently running a 150shot. I am wanting to up it to a 200 shot. I am running the basic nx efi wet kit. What would I need to do to run the 200 shot.

I know I will need to change out the jets (which one would I need). And will need to pull some timing. But what else would I need to do this?

How bout your tranny is it rebuilt bc that will def be something that you want to do bc i already broke mine from a 100 shot. and also you will need a 5 pinion rear planetary for the tranny if you decide to rebuild it the rear planetary runs 1-2 gear so that will need to be very strong to hold up 2 a 200 shot of abuse sooo!! hope this helps you somewhat

What are you running for fuel mods and is this just a bolt on car? You will deffinatly need a fuel pump and you will want to pull some more timing. I would also get the car on a wideband to make sure everything looks good.

If your an unbuilt auto not spraying through the shifts, it will be a toss up whether or not it breaks right away. I've sprayed my stock 4l60 for 4 years and it has seen about 40 passes with a 225 shot.

With that many miles and spraying through the shifts, I'm not suprised it happened that quickly. It seems that high mile 4l60s won't hanle power nearly as well as a lower mile unit. Give it an overhaul with some good parts and hopefully it will be trouble free for you.

ya i just bought a TCI pro racing rebuild kit for $350 from TCi and im buying a 5 pinion rear planetary to run 1st and 2nd gear so it should hold up, and when it shifts it will yank my head to the seat i hope and also about a 3500 stall will be going in it to so i def should be running really good after that.

I have a stage 3 4l60e, that has brought me to 11.04 so far. I'm a cammin, full bolt on etc. fuel upgrades are as follow. walbro intake pump, fast fuel rails, and 42lb injectors.

I'm running a Walbro pump with 42lbs injectors (stock rails). With my cam and a 225 shot (crank rated), the Walbro alone wouldn't keep up. I was seeing about an 8-10 psi drop off the line and it wasn't recovering very well. I added a Hotwire kit and Voltage blaster which seemed to help but I suspect once I put a set of heads on the car I maybe back in the same boat again.
