i eventually want to do a big 315 tire and mini tub it. but not right now. so i narrowed it 3" per side to be ready. with a 13+ inch wide tire and stock tubs, i had to run a spacer. its easy and cheap to buy a spacer than to go back and shorten the rear. i ordered this rear narrowed from strange.

Am I missing something?

Because the 325/50 M/T Radials are wider then his slicks.......
Its exactly what imdoing..... i dont care to run a 28X10.5W, but i do want to run 325/50 on the street tucking them in the fender for both tires...

Not sure if they sell directly to the public. We buy them through Motorstate Distributing

Looking good John!

i at first just wanted to run a 28x10.5 so the 3" a side is fine. then i got greedy and wanted a 325 radial as well. plus one day i want to mini tub and run 315 radials. so this setup will allow me to grow.

you dont have to run a spacer if you want to tuck them more. I dont run spacers and have the same combination with stock tubs. Mine just sits lower in the rear with the tires tucked some.

Damn John, looks badass! I love the alumastars and the radials looks badass! Now you need to steal the LT1 with the blower from the 95 Z/28 and you're set!

Kinda like 275/60/15 radials compared to 28x10.5 regular slicks ?

couldn't you just drill them out if they weren't clearanced for your studs?

Ok so I can run the 325 without spacers? Its just to move the wheel/tire combo out further and to have room to grow down the road?

I hope I am not being annoying but this rear is going to be expensive and I want to do it right the first time.
So I should shorten the rear 3 inches on each side and the 325 will work fine without spacers and I will have room to grow should I want to minitub later. Is this correct?
Thanks guys.

That spacer is too thick to use a uni-bit on. The hole will be the 5/8" on one side and 7/8" on the other.

revtime, you are correct. again i dont want people to think this is a simple throw the rear in and throw the wheels on. it took extensive cutting and beating. but it can be done. i didnt touch the frame rails or anything though. just the wheel housing.

Thank you. I don't mind the clearancing of the wheel housing. Frame rails is what I was worrying about mostly.
My car is a racehorse not a show queen.
I want my car to be presentable but if it has a few scars here and there I don't mind.

6 inch overall shortened 12 bolt it is.
