Default Is a tranny cooler necessary?

I KNOW A TRANNY COOLER IS NECESSARY and want to get one, but is it necessary before i race my A4? I want to take it to the track today, but don't want to hurt anything..what do you think i should be fine as long as i don't hot lap it and allow plenty of time to cool down between runs right?

If you are that worried, circulate the fluid for a minute every 10-15 minutes between pass's.

Cheap Insurance.

One day at the track won't kill it, as long as you give the tranny time to cool between runs.

It will be fine.. I know quite a few guys with 3500-4500 stalls in A4's and they have never ran a cooler. Yes I think you should and I think they should too, but they haven't ran one in years and have zero problems on the street or at the track.. So you will be fine.
