Default Is there a 28" tire for 17" rims?

I want a 28" drag radial for a 17" rim, preferably like a 315 or bigger. 26" tires make my car sit low and look dumb, plus I run 28's at the track.

Thanks!

M&H makes a Drag Radial in a 275-50-17, which is 28" tall.

Also, Mickey Thompson is coming out with new sizes for their ET Radials in Mid-November...it might be worth waiting for. At least they are supposed to be coming out with them anyway

I run a 325/50/15 now, can't be too much different. I'll hammer/saw/cut/bend whatever I have to.

Which one? A guy on the truck site runs the 275/50-17 and has had luck hooking about 450rwhp on a long bed p/u truck. These 2wd trucks are a chore to hook at stock hp levels, so I'd say they work pretty good. Do a search on performancetrucks.net for a TheBreeze. He's been 12.30 in a 4500lb (or more) truck.

I don't think I can run a 325 and make it fit. We had to get the torch to it to get the 315's under there. And I just got off the phone with MT and they are saying early next year on the new sizes now.

Id wait and see what 'ol Micky T. comes out with. The M&H 275 50's only have a tire section width of 8.8", the 325 50's has a tire section width of 10.3", which is just .1" wider that the Mickey Thompson 275 40's. Im in the same boat your in. Im waiting to see what MT comes out with since the racing season up here in ohio his pretty much over anyway. Im hoping they make a 275/50r17 et drag radial. theyll hook good with minimal to no modifications to my wheel wells.
