That's what the High temp ATE super blue is for. I forgot to mention, I am flushing my clutch master, not the brakes.

I think you misunderstood me, it really has nothing to do with the fluid you're running... Here's Ranger's take on the LS7 clutch...

The LS7 is not a race friendly clutch. Every owner I know that goes to the drag strip hates the LS7 clutch.

If you decide to stay on that path, please do the members here a favor and post your impressions of the LS7 clutch after you put ten passes on it.

On the other hand, if you never launch the car, it may be OK...so long as you are meticulous about keeping the fluid in the clutch hydraulic master cylinder reservoir pristinely clean. If it gets nasty, the pedal will hang on the shifts >6000.

Unhappy

Thank you for the heads up. I have read many of Ranger's posts and unfortunately missed that one. Looks like a good one too.

That sucks, I was looking so forward to installing that clutch. I was going to go with a Ram clutch, but there were a few people on the GTO board who had alot of problems with them. Ram has been around a while and I remember many of my f-body buddies having Ram clutches and beating them to death without issues. Damn, now I am thinking if I should sell this NIB LS7 clutch

No prob, man. You likely fell prey to the 'fad' that sweeps through here whenever something new passes through.

I just wish people would only comment on products they've USED! hahaha

Not to hijack and move to clutches, but I was indecisive as hell about which clutch to get for my car. Many as CamTom said fell prey to the "new part" fad. The other down side is that quite a bit of what we hear on the boards is only the negative. I wound up going with the RAM Powergrip HD. I've beat the **** out of that clutch with ZERO complaints. I also picked up the billet flywheel when I got the install done. I was hot lapping at KCIR in Kansas City last summer with it and not a hint of slip.

I hope you are talking about burnout. You never use second on a launch. Unless you have a real deep gear and **** tons of power.

Probably should have mentioned i'm on M/T ET Streets 26x10.5 -16's...I would love to launch higher rpm, but i fear for my 10-bolt's life. I wish the 9 inch rears werent friggin $2,500 bucks or i'd have one already and be happily launching at 5k.

quick slip to load the suspension then floor it all the way . takes a little finess. or get slicks and drop it off the rev limitter if you ditch the 10bolt
