Question Striaght pipes of X pipe

in street catagory we need to have exhuast appearing from the back of the car, I'm thinking 2 striaght oioes to the back, my brother is saying X pipe and then striaght to the back,3" in both cases , what do y'all think?

I don't have any valid track data but I am ditching my X-pipe TD setup this season and going straight off the header to a dynomax welded street muffler dumped. Hopefully should be lighter and flow like crazy (1130 cfm per muffler). I wont have results until next season though.

he has to have the exhaust go out the back tho for the class, if you do go with 3" TD's good luck with clearance, i'd advise a slightly smaller diameter pipe, what kinda power is the car makin? most of the time 2.5" TD's will support quite a bit of power
