Default 2-Step, Trans Brake or Line Lock?

So, I've got a 2005 GTO A4 in the high 11's NA and in the high 10's on the spray. I need to leave the line closer to my peak powerband. So, up around 3600-4000rpm's. What would be my best bet? I'll probably do the line lock regardless at least for the burnout box. But I am not to sure if the Stutter box or a trans brake is the best bet.

TIA,

Mark

I've got a Vig 3600. I foot brake the car up to about 1500 - 2000 rpm's but need to get that much higher as my power band is 5600-7k rpm's so, I'm trying to launch closer to that range.

TIA,

Mark

I would do the transbrake and a two step. This will give the best control to dial the car in on the money. Rick at Senergy has a all in one unit to get the job done. Hows the rear in that car?

I'm currently on the stock IRS and intend to stay that way until something breaks although the guys with M6's have the most driveline problems. So, i'm guessing it will hold up for awhile.....

Thanks for the responses!!

I am have been doing a little research into this. Tell me if I have them right.

The Transbrake is used to get the RPMs up to just a little under the stall speed of the converter.

The Rev limitier is used to help with consistancy of launches. You set the limiter to just under the transbrake setting. With the Rev limiter you mash the gas so you do not have to worry about looking at the tack, but rather at the tree.

No, the Transbrake is used to lock the drivetrain, making it possible to bring the rpms to your stall speed. With N/A cars it will naturally stop climbing rpms at the true stall speed of the converter. With boosted mills, the rpms will peak around your engines torque peak in most cases.

The 2-step rev limiter provides two rpm settings. One is only active when the trans brake is engaged. You set the limiter to the rpm you want to launch at. Other than that the above is correct
