PST 3.5 aluminum now.

Had a ACPT CF shaft in but broke the greasable 1350 u-joint.
Broke at 130+ mph and screwed the end up. Need to see if I can get it fixed.

I got my Denny's NR shaft in on January 15. I need to get this thing installed and on the dyno for a good tune.

The driveshaft is very nice looking...and the welds look great.

Thanks for all the input guys...it made me feel better about my choice.

I will let you guys know how it goes.

Mike

Just found this thread, and I was debating on switching from a 3" CM shaft', to a 3.5" Alum shaft. Is there any gain to be had on the track?

I'm told not much if anything noticeable.

NR can handle up to 3K hp I'm told. More than any here will ever need.

I have a 4 inch diameter alum one. Haven't had any problems with it to date, I don't expect to either.

Can't believe that they put a greasable u-joint in a shaft like that..........

no wonder it broke..

^ agree.

I am also in the market for a drive shaft as well. I adjusted my LCA today, got rid of the vibration at 70mph+. Now vibration starts at 90mph.. Its a steel one btw. I read really good things on the PST 3.5 aluminum. subscribing to see what else people uses out there on the track.

I made my own out of a cardboard tube that a fishing rod came in. It's super light weight, just duct tape the yoke on!

Actually. I'm running a Denny's NR too. No problems here. Been 1.3X 60's and over 150mph with no noticeable vibrations (Not that I was really paying attention to that LOL)
