Thanks for the compliments guys.

This chassis was built in 2000 so they let the chrome stuff go. Undercover and Race tech still sell there cars with chrome suspension pieces so I guess they changed that.

I just can't get this thing to look as good as it did in the shop.

Nice work BTW.

is it a super comp car? have you had better luck with the live suspension rails over the other solid mounted chasis'?

Yea, cleaning it is going to be a nightmare. Glad I dont have to do it.

skipper, on a perfect track, I think there pretty close to equal. When you get to some of the bad tracks, thats where a 4-link car shines. They dont tend to hop as bad when your on the brakes either. Overall they ride nicer on and off the track and the resale is usually a little higher on a live suspended car.

Its just a top et/super pro bracket car for him right now and his daughter is more then likely going to get in it later on.

Few updates:

* Originally the car didnt have an analog tach, just the one in the delay box which was a biondo mega 200. I made a new dash panel to now house a 3 1/2" tach, and a biondo mega 450 delay box. i mounted the box in a way to make it flush with the dash. the dash is at the chromers getting plated. Ill post pics when it comes back.

* I made a new radiator support brace and a new fan/shroud assembly. The ones that were on the car from Ed Quay i didnt care for how they looked. All this stuff will be chromed as well.

* started laying out the electronics as well.

* started fabing and mounting fuel system

not a whole bunch of progress due to the holidays

About how much does that run? I'm looking at having my dzus fasteners, spoiler, (maybe) wheelie bars and a few other small parts sent out and I'm just curious what something like that would hurt in the pocket.

I think the dzus buttons are like $20 a piece. Wheelie bars is a few hundred. Its hard for me to price the stuff, but big areas or things like a rear end housing that has brackets on it to make it harder to chrome cost a great deal more. The guy I use is more expensive then a lot of others but his quality is by far the best I've ever seen from anyone.

I love that red powdercoat. I had it on my last junior dragster I had a few years ago. Almost got it this year on the new Mullis car but didn't... Car looks good Too bad you're going small black though. LOL

We've had 12 juniors over the years. Most of which were halfscales. Heres a pic of my sisters I built for her.

This car has won a best appearing award at the eastern conference finals, and 2 best engineered awards.

This is a 8.90/7.90 index car I built her.

This car has a best engineered award as well.

Little do people know these cars are harder to run then a top sportsman car!

Same here. LOL I had a Motivational Tubing Bracket Star, Mike Bos Pro 1 (loved that car), Halfscale Top Fuel (this is the purple car that won the Eastern nationals last year in the 12 yeard olds), Funny Car, and a Halfscale 330 Outlaw car. All of them were bought new except the Motivational. My dad is actually a Halfscale dealer... I raced juniors for 6 1/2 years before moving up to Super Quick and my sister raced for 3.

You may know of my outlaw car... We sold it to Buddy Perkinson (2003) and he ran it for a while. May still have it. Black laydown car with the red powdercoat. He's from Virginia.

EDIT: Just saw the Dowdy on the car. Robbie Dowdy I used to race with you guys (not with literally but at the same races I mean) in the junior days. I've got a couple pictures of you guys' cars around here somewhere.

Its tight. I got it all in there though to where you can still pull the engine with everthing attached on the front. The remote oil filter has to go between the alt. and the fan. Once everythings in there shouldnt be much open space left.
