Default 60 ft even relevant on the street?

K so let’s say you have two mildly modified cars with the same mods and both run the same time at the track(Car A & Car B). Now you do a couple of things to Car A and are able to drop your 60ft time from bad to pretty good. You are now running a half a sec faster in Car A at the track(just for the sake of argument) compared to Car B. If you ran these cars now against each other on the street from say a 50 kick, would Car A kick the crap out of Car B, or would it not be as noticeable as at the track where the launch comes into affect. The cars still weigh the same just Car A had suspension work or something along those lines done to it.
The reason I ask is because I see people just on the verge of breaking into the next fastest sec bracket, but most of the time when they actually do it is because of improvements to their 60ft.

I agree with him. I don't think it makes a diff if you are already rolling.

Well just because someone runs faster than you on the track doesn't mean that you cant hang with them on the street is all. Thats basically what I wanted to find out.

I don't think it would make much of a difference unless you are like me and get wheelhop at 40-50 mph

I think that on the street the car with the higher MPH will beat the car with the lower MPH regardless of their 60's at the track. You will not have traction on the street so you have to make it up once you are moving, and the car with the higher MPH will be able to cover ground faster once moving.

Races from a roll takes 80% of the skill of the driver out of the race. 60 foot does not matter. But I will say a very power ful car that can kick sideways from a 3rd gear punch would benefit from a good launch

I like roll racing because my car is real fun to launch on 275/40/17 BFG TAs. If you guys think it is so gay, then don't worry about posting in this thread. A question was asked, answers were given. No one needs your irrelevent responses.

Thanks to those of you that answered my question . I realize that it takes alot of skill at the track to run to the best of your abilities. I was not trying to knock anyone; I just spend more time on the street then at the track. This being due to the fact that the closest track to me sucks. I don't want to spend a whole lot of $$ on suspension parts that I wouldn't benefit much from if I don't have to. The best I was able to run with my setup is listed in my sig, which I know could have been much better had I been able to actually launch my car and even get traction in second. I would like sometime to do a couple little traction improvements, but like I said they would have to be things more beneficial to me when challenged by some other guy out cruising.

Too many variables, but if Car A was 60 fting better because it has drag radials and B is on street tires, then A will beat B all things being equal. In my experience traction is still an issue at 50mph with both of my cars.
