Default SJM PHB and LCAs???

I am looking to get a set of LCAs and a PHB for my car, and have someone selling the LCAs for $180 shipped and the PHB for $120 shipped. These prices seem a tad higher than the BMR or Spohn pieces, so I didn't know if they'd be signifigantly better than the others. Thanks.

Not sure where you have been looking, but the SJM's are less then the BMR's or Spohn's that are the equivalent piece...

The SJM control arms are Fully adjustable, rod ended, 4130 CM, that retails for just under $200, the Spohn and BMR equivalents are over $245, and the next closest is Wolfe for $220... Trust me I spent most of today looking around, and price compairing, because I am going to be looking for a pair soon too.

Plus the SJM LCA's boast to be the lightest at 2lbs. 11.5oz each, if that matters to you...

That's what these are, but I didn't know if that would be too much for the low 12-second setup that I'm going for. And this is on a DD street car.

If this is a true DD street car and not going to see the track too often, or only going every so often and not shooting for any serious goals then the rod ended stuff might be a little much, with increased road noise, being harsher over bumps and stuff like that. So I guess it all depends on what your plans are for the car and set it up accordingly...

BTW, I am shooting for low 12's with my car this season, but it is no longer a DD, and I know I will be doing more in the future to make it go even faster. So why buy the same part twice, right, that's why I am looking into those for myself...

imo if this is just a DD low 12 second car, go with poly/rubber bushings. in other words, the cheapys. its not worth it for the extra noise and vibrations

I had poly bushings in my 10 second cam only, daily driven 00 z28. I went with poly again with the new car as well. I know the roads in Georgia and if you drive on them daily, I would stick with poly like John said.

Thanks for the input. I'll just get some poly-bushing pieces then. I appreciate the help.

I like my SJM LCA's that I just got. I don't think that they are any worse than the others, but my car is not a daily driver. There are worse things that I have to put up with concerning my car. I guess it is all in perception.
