Yikes! Sucks to have a failure at the track, but hey, thats drag racing.

Very nice to see UMI Performance proving once again that they are second to none in the customer service department.

My BMR Trak Pak torque arm did that SAME THING. BMR just prettymuch told me to shove it, and wouldn't help me at all with anything, not even the broken torque arm when it also ruined my rear end yoke, and 3.5 aluminum driveshaft. After a year I got a "sorry" from a new guy

Ryan at UMI sounds like a VERY stand up for for backing his product.

That stinks that it broke, BUT fantastic that they'd replace it for free...Stuff like that will go a long way around here.

Bigtime! Even if they offered to give a discount or something, its better then nothing. We all know things break from time to time, and I'm glad UMI is stepping up to the plate. Now if only I needed anymore suspension pieces

no, i actually just threw it away about two weeks ago. i was going to keep it just for this reason but decided it was just taking up space. i can tell you the bar was stretched and tore apart (due to the thinness of the bars and the weakening of the bar the welding caused)

sorry,
mike

No problem, from what I understand now the trak pak torque arms are made from .120 wall DOM versus ERW tubing. DOM tubing is a stronger and more dense material which is considerably stronger than ERW tubing. Thanks for the information.

You stated the problem with the old bars in the PM, yet back when the problem occured (2 years ago), your company was no where to be found to help when it was needed. A year after when I told people about the issue you talked to me. Where is my lie?

Is that a PST 3.5" DS? What kind of 60's have you cut on it? Which aussie clutch do you have?

I have the PST DS and I'm thinking about picking up an Exo-Skel for when I slap on some ET Streets.

Its an Inland Empire Driveline 3.5 aluminum, it's out here in Ontario. I actually havent cut any good 60's times on it, and never will now, lol

but it's known to be a strong piece

I have the OZ700 and have had in it since Jan of last yr and that thing has taken ABUSE.

Hello,

Well thats not good to see.

Yes we will replace it for you free of charge. PM me your name so I can find you in the system and get a new one on its way. You will also be replaced with a newer design and you will never see that happen again. Sorry for the troubles.

Thank you,
Ryan
Damn, with customer service like that, I think I'm gonna go ahead and pick up one of your torque arms on payday. I've been looking for a good torque arm. What is the power limit on your torque arm?

The Inland Empire shafts haven't proven jack **** to me yet... A friend of mine snapped his with 600rwhp on drag radials coming out of the water box!! I know 600rwhp is a good bit, but I've seen plenty of stock shafts hang with that..

My very first PM i sent Asked if there was anything I could do even though it didn't invole me at all and happened a year prior. That's a far cry from the new guy telling you "sorry" and I would do nothing.....

well, i havent tested the limits of mine yet but they told me it would be good up to 800 tq so if it fails, i hope they'd be as stand up as UMI. not likely though, although i doubt it will fail

You, the new guy was no where in sight when the accident occured, and it was your fellow teammates who pretty much told me to shove it a year prior. I'm sorry you have to be grouped in with them, but its apart of being in the same company.

Any knews on the BMR fiasco?

I had a RAM clutch that took a crap on me and tore up the flywheel and stuff. I have a BMR torque arm but I think I wanna switch everything over to the style that hooks it up to a seperate mount from the transmission. i think it doubles as a drive shaft loop too.

i see that you have true duals. with your exhaust setup your not gonna run the body mount t/a without extensive fab. work on your exhaust. i have the spohn body mount and i want true duals so bad but its probably not gonna happen.

when i get the money i'm going to a BMR full length t/a with one of their trans crossmembers that relocates the t/a off the tailshaft.
