Default guys without consoles

you guys that dont have consoles, what are you using to cover the spot under the radio? i think i'm going to put my switch panel under the HVAC controls.... have a piece of sheet metal drop down to the carpet and then do a 90* bend on each end in the shape of a triangle and bolt/screw it to the metal brackets on each side....

if you guys have pictures i'd like to see them....

I'm keeping the section under the radio. I'm just going to make a little braket to help support it. I've got my fuel and volt gauge, my fuel pump cutoff switch mounted there.

I'm talking about the part that holds cd's/tapes and the cig. lighter. I kept that part. Just got rid of the center console around the shifter. I'll have to load up a picture tommorrow of what I did. My traveldrive with all my photo's is at the house.

Heres my photo of what I've done.

I've switched to an automatic so I'm just getting rid of the console but keeping the cd/tape holder to be my gauge and switch pod.

I can take one the next time I take pics of the car if you want, but it's basically a plate that is bolted to the underside of the dash with switches added.

I don't smoke but it was easier to just fill in the tape/cd hole than to cut it and fill the whole thing in. Plus I may need to plug a radar detector in there.
